Eye things behind eye from tsking plaquenil

I haven't had an eye test prior to starting these meds and there has been no mention of one in the future. After the first week I did get some side effects of sore eyes so I stopped taking it. I was diagnosed with RA two years ago and started on MTX.

Plaquenil and Eye pain - from FDA reports Summary Eye pain is found among people who take Plaquenil, especially for people who are female, 60+ old, have been taking the drug for 10+ years, also take medication Enbrel, and have Pain. This study is created by eHealthMe based on reports of 48,911 people who have side effects when taking. Taking Plaquenil long-term or at high doses may cause irreversible damage to the retina of your eye. Stop taking Plaquenil and call your doctor at once if you have trouble focusing, if you see light streaks or flashes in your vision, or if you notice any swelling or color changes in your eyes. Plaquenil can prove toxic to the retina, threatening the vision. Regular eye examinations are essential for those patients taking plaquenil because over time the retina can become damaged beyond repair. Regular medical monitoring is the only way to ensure that toxicity is not occurring.
